My journey from Gas to Electric
SEMA Show, Impressions in the Green Zone

Show is going awesome!
I’m parked next to a hybrid Formula 1 car!
Just met the guy who built the Factory Five Hot Rod EV Conversion about 15 mins ago, meeting with him again tomorrow… his goal with that car is to put together a conversion TV show, kinda like an EV Overhaulin’. Very cool guy, very cool idea.
Met the guy building the Fisker drivetrain, George Barris, the creator of the Batmobile among other movie cars.
Also met the creator of the Killacycle and he complimented on the conversion. That bike goes 0-60 in under a second, so he knows his stuff. It would be like Edelbrock complimenting on your carb;) Very cool.
Can’t even begin to describe the show, much different than last time we were here. I guess having a car here helps;) I’ll take a ton of photos, don’t worry about that. Saw some Turbos bigger than my head!!!
Lots of cool stuff, but efficiency has really come up on the priority list.
Shows over for the day, getting kicked out now, ttyl.

Hi Gerry,
It was great meeting you at SEMA. Thanks for the “cook’s tour” of your awesome electric drift car. Both Eva and I were very impressed with your workmanship and the quality of the components you have selected. EVs like yours certaianly move the technology away from the “nerdmobiles” of the past.
I know the KillaCycle gets all the attention in the video above. However, in the near lane, Eva is setting a very specific NEDRA class record (Street legal conversion motorcycle, 48 volts.) Thus two records were actually set on that same race.
