As a former President of the Vancouver Electric Vehicle Association in 2009, I was afforded an opportunity to test Chevy’s new Volt while in town for the Olympics. This is Chevy’s new “Range Extended” Electric Car debuting … let’s just say sometime in the future.

Shot just prior to removing my internal combustion engine (ICE) to make way for my new electric motor. The engine is a Turbo 2.0L (SR20DET) from a Nissan S13. Imported from Japan and installed by hand myself in 2001, I’ve had a lot of fun times with this engine.

When manufacturing capabilities change, the answer to an age old question asked again can be quite different from what we’re already accustomed to.
